Welcome to Vigilton

The village of Vigilton stood guard over an site of historic importance  for centuries. Although the meaning of it’s ritual is slowly been forgotten with the passage of time. This site simply called “the Vigil” represents a bond of trust between mortals and primordials when they still walked the face of Ianna.

Vigilton, is an new adventuring site I have created for use whit the Imarand campaign setting, the players start out as locals taking on the mantel of local militia tasked to protect the village and the site called the vigil. But all will go horrible wrong  as goblins discover the place and break the seals of this ancient tomb.

The village of Vigilton is an rural framing town on the edges of the Durnmon Kingdom, depending much on trading their goods in the nearby city Passhaven. Vigilton does, get its fair share of adventurers using the village as base camp before heading out into the mountains.

The story continues, a new adventure

A while ago I have created this adventure as a part two the the Court of the Dryad Queen adventure and takes the player back the the court to further investigate the fallen star deep within the dungeons of the old fort.

I borrow the idea for the adventure from the movie Evolution (2001) and created the Starstone Monsters to emulate a bit of the monster in the movie, giving is its own strengths and weaknesses.

Starstone Monsters

Recently I watched the Evolution movie again, and it gave me an idea for a monster and encounter, that I’m currently incorporating into a new adventure, that goes further the court of the dryad queen (L3-T8) ends.

For simplicity the template and monster I have created isn’t exactly the same, but it does bring the idea into the game. And it would make a good recurring monster. The Starstone Evoled creature template that works well on any animal, fey, humanoid, magical beast, plant or vermin creature. While the Starstone Ooze, is a little menace that keeps the players on their toes, when they are eradicating these pests.

CREATING A STARSTONE EVOLVED CREATURE

A “Starstone Evolved” is an inherited template that can be added to any creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature). Most starstone evolved creatures are based upon animals, fey, humanoids, magical beasts, plants or vermin. A starstone evolved uses the base creature’s statistics and abilities except as noted here.

CR: Same as the base creature +1.
Alignment: Always Neutral.
Hit Points: A starstone evolved creature gains +2 hp per HD.
Defensive Abilities: A starstone evolved creature has immunity to fire and slashing damage, gains a weakness to cold and the following defensive abilities. But losses the any other elemental resistances it might have.

Reactive Regeneration (Ex): Whenever hit by an attack that deal fire or slashing damage, it regerates 5 hit points and gains 1 evolution point.

Guild Advancement

Got the question from my players “Can we advance in a guild we are part of?”, well with these boons using Fame Point the player can advance in any guild gaining boons and even becoming guildleader. This could be a blacksmiths guild, trader’s guild, thieves’ guild of even and organization like the Seekers of Old.

This will be the first set-up for and guild advancement system within the game.

Initiate (1 FP): You are a full-fledged member of the guild, whenever you are within a city that houses a guild hall of guildhouse you get free lodging, stabling and food.

Member (2 FP): Obtains membership in a regional guild, providing a player character with a 10% discount on a certain kind of goods associated with your guild. At the GM’s discretion.
Requirement: Initiate Boon

Fey Madness

Just played this story for my players, even my players are able to suprise you from time to time.
Expection: to kill and maim their way through the adventure.
Result: the players talked to my NPC’s, and they where stuned by the results.

Hope you like it as much as I did.

Court of the Dryad Queen (L3-T8)
A large falling star has lit up the sky a few days ago, and the party is send to the Court of the Dryad Queen within the Feylande forest where the star supposedly has fallen. It’s a call for help form the court and Queen Tirande herself, regarding the fallen star. As the heroes arrive in Winterhaven by boat a couple of weeks later, the air within Winterhaven is grim. The people you see on the streets are bundled up in heavy furred cloaks and seem to go about their business as usual, but you notice several of them following you wearily with their eyes, before seeming to decide that heroes are harmless. A sense of deep unease and fear seems to have taken hold of this village as they see many men up on the walls of the town and patrolling the streets – far more than a town of this size should need.

Suggestions and critique wanted

Hi all,

I have been writing and running a personal campaign setting for several years for a group of friends, and recently I have been putting the recent missions/quests online for other people to use.

So far my players are enjoying them, but I like to become better at it, write more engaging and cunning adventures for them and possibly the readers of my site. So I was hoping you guys might be willing to give me some advice on the quests I have so far. 🙂

The PDFs are downloadable here: https://imarand.nl/adventures/
Also opend up a thread on the paizo forums http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2s04x?Suggestion-and-Critique-wanted#1

Looking forward to hear what you think.

Adventure Time

Another new adventure, took a while to complete this one and make this one a bit better before I could put it on the site. The adventure can easily be run as an 2 part adventure as I did for my group. Made for a group of 4 to 6 players of level 3 and 4

Hope you like it

Crypt of Dreams (L3-T6)
Border Town has always had a strange reputation: for years people in the area have been plagued by strange dreams and nightmares. The villagers of the town have grown used to this, but recently it has taken a turn for the worst: since a few weeks villagers have started to disappear.

New Adventure

Got some new pathfinder adventures online that I have written and used for my players over the last months. The latest is called the “Oracle of Flame” and is written for a group of 4 to 6 players of level 3 to 5.

Oracle of Flame (L3-T5)
Rumors are spreading that an Oracle of Flame is claiming to be a new demigod. He is wandering from village to village amassing a small army of followers, but also burning the places he visits to the ground including anyone who opposes him. A group of brave adventures is assembled to investigate his claims of divinity and, if necessary, put an end to his reign of destruction. The players find themselves on the Black Isle in the city of Ardee, from where they set out to the Village of Ashfall, which the Oracle of Flame has chosen as its next victim.

The other adventures I have written can also be found on the Adventures page.
